HERITAGE Built in 1886 and registered under the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, this magnificent 2-storey villa is one of Picton’s original colonial homesteads. Extensively and sympathetically restored, Sennen House has many fine historic features.

ENVIRONMENT Set in formal gardens beneath our Queen Elizabeth II National Trust protected native forest, native birds and birdsong abound. A percentage of each guest stay is put into the ongoing work of regenerating the original beech forest with its unique and rich habitat.

HOSTS Lyall and Helena relocated back to New Zealand at the end of 1999. Originally from New Zealand, Lyall spent a considerable period of time in the UK working extensively within the building services environment where he met Helena. Lyall and Helena are both happy to leave the corporate working environment behind them and enjoy the delights of what Marlborough can offer including cruising around the glorious Marlborough Sounds in their classic launch ‘Arohanui’.
